Krystle

As human beings, we measure how our lives are going by the success of our relationships or careers. If relationships or careers are going well, life goes well. Our socioeconomic status, intersectionality and lived experiences, can influence how we view ourselves, others and the world. Oftentimes these are areas we have zero control over. Yet, these experiences can greatly impact many areas of ourselves, like our ability to manage stressors, affect relationships, self-esteem, and create a sense of hopelessness. As human beings, we are also resilient, strong and capable, we have the keys to unlock how we absorb life’s experiences.

I am a registered Social Worker and have been in the field since 2013, beginning my career in the developmental field, working with young adults and adults with dual diagnosis and Autism. Currently,  I am a psychotherapist working with children, youth and their families by creating a space that is safe, non-judgmental and personable. In my therapeutic work, I utilize an integrative approach drawing on evidence based practices including, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, and emotion-focused therapy. Anti-oppressive framework guides my work with clients, while strengths-based, and solutions-focused approaches allow for staying true to my core foundation that you are your own expert in your story.

My areas of expertise are anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism, parenting strategies/supports, behavioural concerns, emotion regulation, interpersonal conflicts, peer relationships, work and school related challenges. When working with me, you set the pace and determine the direction where your life is headed next. Let’s find out what feels best for you and what your internal strengths are!
